Re: HowTo: Scripting your way new firing modes

The auto reload on the shotty is indeed helpful. I burned so much more through ammo on the auto shotty than I normally do thats for sure =)

The firing mode scripts are pretty neat..but for my preference, I opt out because I feel it removes a sense of control on firing or supressing the targets (especially on ff instances when team mates tend to reposition or walk in front of you). The auto-semi-auto feel of the pistols...I could def tell the difference for me but prefer the non script mode.

Nice script though...I see both sides of the debate and appreciate you putting it together to try out!

Re: HowTo: Scripting your way new firing modes

Ok.. i know this is an old thread, but i was hoping someone could help me figure out how to make this into a toggle?

Like unexec firemodes (although that command doesn't exist)

So does anyone got an idea how to make this toggle on and off?

If you just use saik0's code it will give you toggles to turn the modes on and off. With that in place, you shouldn't need more.

I've been trying this out the last 2 days and I like it. The pistols seem buggy, in that sometimes I can get the modes on and sometimes not, but shotgun mode is real nice and I am digging the AR single shot. There is a natural balance as well, as the single shot mode on the AR really slows down special infected kills, so I find myself switching back to full auto when I hear the SI music.

Nicely done, saik0!

Re: HowTo: Scripting your way new firing modes

Well the reason why i would like a main toggle is because i think there is a glitch with hunter, when you pounce it makes you jump as soon as you hit the ground, and while sometimes this can be good, other times its a noosense, because i will try to put a hunter on the roof and i will land on there and it will auto jump me off lol..

am i the only one gettin this side effect?

so really there is no way, or is there just no one out there who wants to help? lol

running a config like typing in "exec config1" changes binds, can i make a "exec config2" to counter act and basically nullify the first config??

if so, can i get some help on it? lol
