    Global decrease of all item density from 6 to 3.

    z_common_limit increase from 30 to 60. MOAR ZUMBEES!

    director_tank_lottery_selection_time from 4 to 0. No more spawning on fire or while throwing; less warning for survivors too.

    director_tank_min_interval from 350 to 200. I've always found TG teams can kill tanks easy.

    z_allow_ai_to_use_abilities from 1 to 0. Makes AI tank not throw, plus less effective AI infected when you get 5-6 during the tank. Maybe it's just me, but parking tanks is annoying for both teams, and needs to be discouraged. I personally think versus is a contest of player skill, not a contest of parking-the-tank-in-the-best-spot-and-getting-better-AI.

    z_witch_allow_change_victim 0. I'm tired of being mowed down without shooting or looking at her because a teammate thinks it's funny to hide behind me and provoke her pathing to attack me.

    z_witch_flashlight_range from 400 to 650
    z_witch_health from 1000 to 1750
    z_witch_personal_space from 100 to 250
    z_witch_berserk_range from 200 to 350
    z_witch_speed_inured from 200 to 400
    With these, she'll aggro sooner, be uncr0wnable by an individual in one hit, and be faster when injured than not injured.

    Any tips on how to adjust these figures without leaving sv_cheats at 1? The game seems to revert to 30 for the infected limit for example the second sv_cheats go back to 0.

    I voted other to agree with Boot in the above posted who suggested no tank rage...only problem I see is grief in the final stage, not sure if the timing of events are linked with the tank deaths. Seems to me for instance in Mercy, the chopper doesn't come until the second tank has died...so if the tank just avoided fire if he could make it impossible for the survivors to get to the choppa...

    Melee endurance would be great too...always liked that mod, didn't seem to unbalance things.

    Edit: Is there a way to make it so that instead of always having the same team start as suvivors or infected have them alternate, that way the advantage of being infected any knowing where everything is going to spawn is more balanced.

    No tank rage bad is a horrible idea, possibly the worst one suggested.


    Valve used to have this in the game, tanks with no rage bar. They noticed during testing that the tank would always move to the most advantageous position on the map for him, and wait for the survivors. Imagine being able to use the tank wherever you wanted once he spawned. Apparently this wasn't a good thing for balance, because they took it out. It isn't that hard to believe either.

    True, though knowing the tank is comming and hiding behind the elevator in Mercy, under stairs or in a closest is equally destructive to balance IMO. It would be nice if there could be some kind of balanced option...like for example the rage timer only progresses if the survivors move X amount closer to the safehouse.

    It all depends on how you define the objective of the game or game session. If you're out to make it to the saferoom, then I agree the rage meter is a good balancing feature. But if you're looking for a versus game in which you fully expect to die gloriously and then ROFL, then this fixes the situation Specterr has identified.

    I've never seen a team hide in a closet vs. a tank so I cant comment on the effectiveness of that move. Behind the elevator on nm4 top floor and the vents on nm2 and under the stairs on nm4 1st floor are the same issue, the tank duckwalks through tight spaces which forces him to take horrendous fire until he can get close enough to use an attack on the survivors. In my eyes, that's an exploit. Someone taking advantage of a flaw in the games design to gain an advantage is what exploit means to me and it certainly applies here. There is a plug-in out there already that is capable of blocking off access to behind the elevator on nm4, under the stairs on nm4, and can block off most of the vent on nm2. (you still want the survivors to be able to go down the ladder into the vent, but fixing the problem requires blocking off everything but the direct path through the vents) Is it the best solution? Probably not, but it at least gives us options until valve fixes this issue one way or another that doesnt have a chance of creating more problems then it solves.

    I wouldn't really call it an exploit. If I were being chased by an Arnold zombie I'd run my ass straight to the smallest opening, hoping he can't get through!

    I'm liking the increased witch stats. At the moment they just aren't that menacing unless you get them in a really (un)lucky spot. Get the guy with the HR to head-shot her, and while he's stunned and then running towards him have everyone else quickly dispatch her.
