Assault, are you still getting that issue? I just encountered a sound loop crash + display driver not responding failure yesterday.

Actually I haven't even bothered to test L4D since the last update. On the Steam forums today a user did mention he solved his lockup problem by installing the 181.22 Nvidia drivers after the Dec 5th update. Whether or not that will fix my issue is another story as it seems what works for one person, doesn't always work for another.
