VIDEO: Repositining the tank for surprise !

Funtimes! Taking the tank from the top of the Elevator on no mercy 4 and repositioning it. The tank usually dies there quickly since the survivors just hide behind the vent entrance and shot him in the face.

Well we made mroe use out of it

HD avaiable

Nice.

About that specific tank positioning spot. The counter to this move is to simply close the safe room door instead of entering it. This will make the tank AI activate but keep punching the saferoom door to try and get to the survivors. Unfortunately, the tank cannot break the door and can be safely killed by shooting through it.

So What do you think..Just In the Doorway? So as soon as they round the corner the tank activates...? I agree that the early tank in this level is wasted... The Vent is too much to overcome in most instances..

I like the narrow outer walkway.. where the smoke sucks people down..Maybe one of those closets or soemthing.. The tank may knock someoene off the roof..

There is a forklift on that level that the tank can use, although it might be too close to the elevator (so the survivors could just haul ass back to the vent).

Do AI tanks make good use of punchables like the forklift?

Sometimes; especially when you put it right in their path to 'force' it to use it. Used it with a forklift or something on the 'exit alarm' door on Blood Harvest. Knocked it into the door when they walked out, got 2 or 3 of em I think.

I'm not sure how people feel about using an animation glitch, but the tank can throw rocks through the elevator at people crouching in the vents. If you're pressed against the back of the elevator, when he leans forward to pick up a rock, the rock will be pulled from the air behind the elevator. Its definitely a better option than trying to crawl through the vents, since you'll get gunned down while you try and cram that massive space through that tiny frame.

Re: VIDEO: Repositining the tank for surprise !

I guess if you are forced to place the tank post elevator, doing it near the 2nd generator behind the breakable metal door would be good, but not immediately behind it. This should allow the tank to split the group as an AI, and potentially knock people off the top floor or use the generator. If the infected team places a hunter or two further back as safeties then a smoker/boomer can help the tank engage the other two survivors who get "cut off". They key here is probably to get the boomer to "boom" on the survivors right when the tank activates so 3/4 of the team is blinded.
