Idea for a game mode.
Death Race.
I just thought of the idea of a race game mode. Basically the survivors have to run from an endless horde of zombies and make it to a safe room. The only special infected would be hunters and tanks, and they would always instantly spawn behind the survivors meaning they would have to catch up with them. The survivors would have to watch their steps because maps for this game mode would have many places where they could fall to their deaths or maybe trigger side rushes or explosions or whatever. The survivors would also have ways of slowing down the horde for example by closing doors behind them or blowing something (like a bridge) up that would close the way behind them, forcing the horde to take a detour.
There would be some small zombie spawns in front of the survivors or to their side so that they would have to shoot them to prevent being slowed down; you've probably noticed how being hit by a zombie slows you down on the run if it doesn't make you stop completely. Survivors could also run backwards and shoot at zombies behind them or throw pipes or molotovs, but then they would risk maybe running off a cliff.
I think a game mode like this would be really exciting, but would maybe leave less room for teamwork and communication.
Now that I think about it, this doesn't even have to be an entire new game mode. I'm sure this can be made as a single campaign.
What do you think? Any ideas to make it more interesting?
