8-player coop?
any interest in this?

Allow an 8 survivor game on expert mode.
How do I use it?
After starting a versus match on your server, the admin types '/sm_l8d_enable' into chat and is presented with a menu to choose which co-op map to play. Map changes to co-op and infected become spectator. Bots are spawned and spectators are automatically given control.
I am not the originator of this methodology, and have only automated it and removed the need for sv_cheats.
Known Issues
Players cannot join/rejoin a match in progress as it reports max players reached.
Game engine only tracks the 4 primary survivors for certain game elements:
* Witches attack only the primary 4 survivors. A clone can startle her, and she will attack the first instance of that survivor.
* Incap counts seem to count for all the individual character types (reported by death_hawk)
* Max 3 people per closet (reported by death_hawk)
* After failing a round, clones will spawn with primaries load-out. (reported by Hunterbrute)
Weapon caches in maps may not have enough for everyone to pick what they want. (This actually might make for a better expert mode.)
Only four first-aid kits at each safe zone. (This also might make for a better expert mode.)

That makes it a lot easier... Shame the 2nd set of 4 don't get attacked in the same way. Just send them to wipe out the witch! The infected need to double in numbers as well.. The video is good though!

I have seen a string of creative and even odd angles come out over the past several months
This says to me that people want new content
roll on the SDK, so that maps can be easily created and distributed and then users can create lots of new content and a steady stream of new content

Yeah for this to work on expert (since 4 people can beat expert anyways), the infected should:
Increase the rate the director spawns infected
Increase the rate the director spawns special infected
Increase max special infected size to like, 10
Double, no...quadruple the amount of common infected
Instead of one tank, how about 3!

Yeah, I think the difficulty level would go down exponentially for each extra survivor, but this does sound pretty interesting. I think most of what AVS said would be awesome except for maybe the 3 tank thing, maybe at the finale... Conversely, I think it might be interesting to also have eight survivors play with limited healing items, ammo, and weapon selection instead of upping the number of infected. This would allow for a lot more teamwork as you would need to decide who carried what weapons and healing items. Melee only weapons would probably be pretty neat in this situation as well maybe with a slight reduction in the melee stamina penalty. You might argue that if you change the game too much then you are not playing the same game, but I think that is what everyone loves about counterstrike in the first place and that was the inspiration behind this game.

This looks fun! Needs a LOT more zombies though. Stuff like this makes me even more excited for the SDK, can't wait to see what people come up with.
