its possible, just takes 5 mins to get all the people together etc

I think we should make it The SOP!!

When when you're looking for a game, hop in the chat channel.

If people just hop in the group-chat, it's easy to get a game going, regardless of what type your looking for. It doesn't require friends-lists, or invitations, or search_keys, or the flaky, time-wasting "lobby system". Once you get 8 people everyone joins the server directly - from the main menu or from the server-browser. (then you call-vote to change campaign)

The group chat lobby is new to me, but that easily sounds like the easiest and most viable option.

The group chat is extremely easy to join ... just right click the TG L4D group icon in your friends list and choose join group chat. A few of us were on last night looking for a game. Join us!

also if someone is in a game you can join on it

a good reason to get on chat so that other steam group members can join chat and eaily join your game

(another update for you to the sticky, although lets get some nicer pics)

EDIT
this is the best as you can just join steam group chat then jump in game and friends can come along to the friends list or steam group members to the steam group list and find you and communicate and join your game
a person gets benefit by being in the group chat without the work associated with others procedures

I agree this is the easiest way in to the chat room, from friends list at the bottom
