    We're going to have to consult the Valve Time on that.

    EDIT: Apparently it'll be released for consoles first (2am PST) and for PC "later in the day".

    DLC was released 25mins ago to Xbox360, there's live stream of game going on with survivor mode on XBox360 here.

    Bring tissues, it's going to be harsh to watch others play when you can't.

    EDIT: So In survival mode there's bunch of gas, oxygen and propane tanks.
    You have 8 medkits, two pistols and all the tier 2 weapons. There's 4 maps of each campaign from the "alert the horde" parts plus the lighthouse level. Difficulty seems to be set to normal so Tanks aren THAT hard to kill if you have four autoshotties staring at it.

    I just saw some Xbox people reach 10 and a half minute right there. I think they spread out a bit too much. The Hordes seem smaller than expected so far.

    Capital Error right there imo. 4 Assault Rifles are much better for a Tank. While the Autoshotties seem to do more damage the relaod kills them. You do more DPS with Rifles. Also you NEED the constant bullet impact from the rifles on the tank to keep it slow and save health.





    I also think constantly picking up new weapons to skip the reload time might be a good tactic here.

    Im not big fan of the assault rifles because they chew so much ammo.

    The ammo, weapon and healthkits are positioned in places where you are out in the open and the place is difficult to defend, you don't want to take the dangerous trip to the ammo cache too often.
    It'll be very interesting what we'll come up with this one.
    What I picked up was that on the lighthouse level it doesn't look like good idea to get to the very top, but on the level just below the top. There's small railing that stops smoker pulls (if you are at very top they pull you down to the ground or on the roof).
    When tank comes you can just set it on fire and run around the lighthouse till he dies. But if you get hit, there's chance you'll fly in the ocean, which'll kill you.

    They also blocked most of the corner camp spots such as the closet in the elevator part of No Mercy 3, under the pipes in No Mercy 2 and by the event button in Death Toll 2. In the Death Toll 2, the blockade is fire that doesn't go out. Might be good idea to sit in the corner next to it meleeing horde to the fire.

    I think I´d rather waste some Ammo than get pwned by a tank in the face because all the shotgunners are reloading I like the Shotty but for tanks I always grab the Rifle.

    If I remember right about 30 shells from Autoshotty is enough to kill a tank.
    If there's 4 survivors all shooting at the tank they still have few bullets&shells to spare after the tank is biting dust.

    Looking back, ammo is crucial part of the survivor mode. If everyone unloads at the tank you'll have few shells left. With Auto Rifles the few times I used it It took bit more than one clip to kill the tank, but let's say it's one clip for the sake I might have missed some bullets. Let's do the math:
    Auto Rifle = 8,2 clips = ~8 Tanks (410 bullets / 50 bullet magazine)
    Auto Shotty = 13,8 'clips' = ~13 Tanks (or more if you don't miss) (138 shells / 10 shells max)

    The problem isn't with ammo. You have to have a viable plan to get to the ammo piles anyway. The problem is with reloading. It takes way too long to reload the shotty, since there's other stuff you have to be shooting at too.

    Really not digging the new mode at all. Its just a crap shoot. We got far in one round where things kind of came in spaces but then lost another round under 3min when we had 3 Smokers spawn and tie us up at once.

    Defenses are rather pointless. That might be my main issue... as it was in CoD WaW Zombie though they did try and tweak that in the new map. I would like to see more ways to "control" or funnel the Zombies and specials. Building up barracades, traps, ect. Some point to it would be nice, at least in the main game you are trying to wait things out for a rescue... not just an eventual death.

    Currently its just a roll of the dice with a huge rush. I guess for those that like that sort of thing its great, but I am sticking with coop and vs unless they do a major revamp of the new game mode.
