    I've done that, but I am always JUST a little paranoid about replacing the game if your hard drive dies or whatever. I prefer to have that little disc, JUST in case. But I'm growing used to the idea of not having it.

    You do realize that Steam lets you redownload a game as many times as you want. You can also make back ups of the games onto a hard drive and do simple one or two click reinstalls.

    Exactly.
    In fact, just month ago I uninstalled steam from my I hard drive and installed it on my H hard drive. I just copied all the files in steamapps folder of the old steam and reinstalled all my games on the H drive in under 5 minutes.
