In Case of Zombie Attack, Break Glass
I'm not an L4D player, but I thought of you guys when I stumbled across this. I went to MIT and am a fan of the pranks referred to as "hacks" by MIT students. There's a whole MIT website designed as a museum of the best hacks, and here's one entry.

I've seen one with shotgun and few shells inside the case.
Very useful indeed when zombies attack. Note that Im not saying if.
