Re: L4D2 Demo Shenanigans
I've been on the Valve forums most of the day, and word on the street boils down to this. Apparently, upon release of the 360 version, several considerable bugs were discovered in their code. Valve pulled the PC demo release until they've sorted out these issues for the us. Also apparently, they have suggested that the public release date for the demo will be pushed back an equivalent amount of time, in order to give those of us who pre-ordered our full weeks worth of special alone time.
If anything else crops up, I'll keep you posted.I’m not funny, just a little under-medicated.

Re: L4D2 Demo Shenanigans
Demo's here, and it's fun.
First impressions: Everything from L4D1 has been taken, and improved; the new bits from this edition prove to be pretty darn formidable opponents/cool weapons.
Silver says he'll post a video of us all being idiots and failing miserably for most of the time. I ended up running into friendly fire and stuff a LOT, considering my 300+ ping and awesome spikes. You'll probably hear me complaining about lagging a lot. Still fun considering, and some of the weapons feel really 'right' despite being reiterations of eachother, they all feel just unique enough to be worth it.
But being able to jump up and down with 3 of your buddies all running around with guitars and smacking zombies in the heads with a gleeful 'TWANG' is just... unbeatably awesome.

Re: L4D2 Demo Shenanigans
Demo was unplayable for me. Game kept freezing up. Went back to L4D1 and had no issue. Also ran a few other games with no issue. Not sure what the issue is here.
Graphics look great, sounds are VERY well done. Wish I could see more of it.Battlefield Samurai 'Banzaaaiii!!!

I'm so jealous right now.

Re: L4D2 Demo Shenanigans
I'm very sad, very very sad...
...that there wasn't more! Damn pubbies rushed through everything, didn't have time to listen all the songs in jukebox! Very positive feelings, only thing I found annoying was armored zombies not registering the hits properly (visuals don't match hit boxes), when they were laying on ground back towards me and I empty the clip in them.
I see melee working well when covering flanks, and it was the only weapon I didn't hit friendlies with
I also got the good old ''blaster'' feeling, when zombies were rushing from everywhere and some happy music playing on background (jukebox), I hope they've added more moments like that in the game. I think I saw female boomers aswell, I hope my eyes lied O.O

As of this posting I'm waiting for Steam to finish unlocking the files. Crossing my fingers and hoping that the game will work smoothly so I can have a fun weekend of TG goodnes.
