Impressions / gameplay tips about the new infected, in this video I found.

I like the elements of each one of them. Spitter relies most in teamwork within the infected team, Charger can wreck the whole survivor team in a moment, much like tank, and Jockey, I can see him wrecking whole teams rather fast and nice if they stop paying attention for just one moment O.o

Geez the Infected seem over powered now. Or maybe it was the way the survivors acted. They seemed to get defeated easily.

The video is very 1 sided. It looks like they are doing 3 infected VS 1 human with 3 bots.

A good infected team was able to destroy medicore survivors in L4D1 by having the timing right.

- The charger is a nice new infected. Can disrupt the survivors and keep one guy pinned

- The spitter seems nice but he has a big problem. He can´t keep a survivor pinned like every other Infected can. All he can do is areal warfare but nothing to block out a survivor from a fellow.

- The Jockey is just awesome - he also is very resilient with his small size and 300 something HP. He doesnt do as much damage as a hunter but his guy is out of the play.

What I think might happen is that if your team gets too many spitters the enemies will just rush thru without the chance of having a Quadcap. In the demo people found ways to play infected via console but the distribution of the full game VS mode is not there. Will there be double infected? Double hunters? Boomers with Spitters? Only few more days till we find out

Well I'm thinking they could've been playing on Expert or something. Hopefully Valve doesn't make the new additions too strong. Seemed like their claw attacks did a lot more.

Are we worried that we are going to have work and try hard to play well? If there is some imbalance Valve, as usual, will be quick to fix anything like they did in L4D1

Special Infected have new tools but so do the survivors.

More guns, melee weapons, defibs, boomer bile and so on. Also, I guess you all noticed how generous the new Director is with the health kits this time around.

PS. I love the jockey.

Well, on L4D1 expert it doesn't give any other healhkits than the ones in the level and the occasional extra ones in the finale level (death toll mostly).
Right now you have 11 to 13 healthkits during the 2nd level (8 in the saferooms, one in the hummer (that isn't always there, it might spawn around the map) and two spawning in the middle of the level under a shelter and one or two in the shelter where you start the event.
And that's not counting in the defib units. Best I've seen is 13 healthkits and 2 defib units on that level during expert.

I'd call that pretty generous.

Expert still gives you healthkits - unless you play on the pills only server

But it didn't give you any extra ones during the levels 1 2 3 4 in L4D1, now it does according to demo.
