Last time I saw Valve ad down here I think it was Half-Life 2 ad. And that was years ago.
Outside internets that is.

They don't need to advertise, they focus distribution and launching of games in the Steam client, meaning they can advertise there all they want. I don't believe they exactly favor 360 users as it is (since to give them a good game at PC standards they must provide DLC through Live, which costs money, which doesn't get a lot of buys), meaning they can focus solely on steam ads.

L4D1 had a commercial, and that was pretty darn big for a valve marketing scheme, I think.

I would just think they would be doing more. Releasing videos, talking up features, etc. Not hardly a peep out of them is odd.

Word on the street is major issue with Steam Store's automatic release thingie (yes it's called thingie). A 2 hour delay although when your targeted release time is at the end of the flippin day I doubt anyone's gonna stay up to play.
