Re: Left for Dead
Wow you get bombarded by hordes of demon spawn in DOD? Oh if you play this game on any level of difficulty with NPC's then you will win. They are set to high and its better with real people. Now when the infected get to be multiplayer I think it will get much harder
I should be on at lunch if you need more pointers Disciple.

Re: Left for Dead
What about SOPs for TG L4D? Most of what we do in-game we've all learned from playing TG CS, but what about bringing in non CS players to the mix who aren't familiar with the basic team work concepts from the CS SOPs? Should we look at coming up with a set of essential guidelines for new players to cover both Survivor and Infected?
EDIT - Doh, just noticed our L4D forum is up in the Tactical section. Can an admin please move this topic over there? Thanks!

Good luck getting rid of your disease. If you're infected, though, stay away--I can't afford to be a zombie right now.

Re: Left for Dead
Yes, I think we should definately do this it will give more people opportunity to see what TG offers. Like you said some will always join and never know with this option of letting them learn our rules will just further more give us player base and they may like it so much they will look into CSS COD4 and other games aswell.

Re: Left for Dead
Anybody going to make a front page announcement when this thing releases in 3 days?
TG Primer

Atomic Dog: Do it, hit it with a crowbar!
Delta: I don't have a crowbar.
Atomic Dog: Hit it with the dog!
Ednos: I just need to man up and get ready to have a testicle removed (which is what using Vista feels like)

Re: Left for Dead
Do you kung fu?
I've noticed that melee is very, very effective at breaking up hordes, especially if you've got someone with a shotgun crouched down in front while the rest of the team shoots over his/her head. It seems like you can keep meleeing Zs out of the way right up until you get nabbed by a smoker or something.
Any other anti-zed tactics yet?

Re: Left for Dead
Here is the correct formation for a zombie horde

Seriously your idea of one guy crouching in the front is dead on. Another thing that should be done is limit their approach angles so use of doors and corridors is quite vital, being surrounded on every side is death.
Also this way you will find all the zombies are the same height , funneling them into lines makes headshots a no brainer
This game should always be played on expert mode

Re: Left for Dead
Zulu? Hmm.
Today I started shutting doors behind me. It doesn't help that much, but it makes me feel better.
Does anyone have a working strategy for surviving the tank on expert? The one time I've done it, we survived because the tank went after Louis, who ran all the way back to the Safe room before he was killed, and the tank could not or did not pathfind back to us. I expected the witch to be the major party wipeout specialist, but so far the tank wins. Also, has anyone gotten the advanced weapon set in Expert?

Re: Left for Dead
The tank is best dealt with a game of tag. All four surround it at a distance from different directions while firing, if it approaches any one of them they should run or take the best cover they can while the other three continue firing.
The picture above is an example of volley fire, try to avoid everyone reloading at once and concentrate fire on lines of zombies to maximize it

Re: Left for Dead
I will be skipping my night class on small business management to play this game. I CAN'T WAIT!!! They should release a L4D mountain dew like they did for halo 3.
