Re: Left for Dead
Meh. Where's the penalty for dying? For letting down your teammates? After all, who cares if you get killed; from the sounds of it, you'll have much more fun respawning as one of the super-powered monster zombies. That's what I'm afraid of: players will begin a round by simply suiciding themselves so they can get a chance to be a super-zombie and grief their former teammates.
I see the game lasting a month before it gets stale (especially on consoles, if it's getting a console release). Sorry for my pessimistic assessment.

Re: Left for Dead
No thats not quite how it works, its a 4v4 match thing if you choose to have players spawn as the zombies.

Gill
On multiplayer you choose to be 4 mean superzombies. Not only does the 4 humans have to fight regular zombies, they have to fight you also
Its not an easy stale game. Well if its gonna be stale it wont be easy. You have to play as a team to win as humans.
Only thing might be hard is if the 4 superzombies get on like teamspeak and organize against you at the same time the npc zombies do. No lonewolfing in this game either. This game will be a favorite to play. If your scared say your scared
P.S. yes it will be console tooFUN FUN

Re: Left for Dead
Ohhhh, okay. All the previews I've read and videos I've seen led me to believe that the conclusion I stated was how the game was going to work.

Re: Left for Dead
I dunno I was really excited bout this game till I saw these videos. I thought this was gonna be a game that without teamwork would be impossible.
However all the people were running around on there own, the game seems to auto shout out when realoading and when hurt, take s away the fun for the player and takes away from my thinking about the team and keeping an eye out for them.
Also the biggest disopointment was the glwoing charaters of your team mates when they went out of sight, they just glowed if they were behind objects, that ruins the whole immersion for me.
It also just looked very easy like the guy wouldn't check round corners and just stumble into a bunch of zombies who would only notice him when he shot at them (like the easyiest setting bots on css), also there seemed to be no one conserving ammo, just spraying as much as possible.
I hope this was just the demo which had specail features enabled for the team to show off the maps. Like making it easy for them and making unlimited ammo, other wise if this is as good as it gets, then this fails in my book.
