btw... use the turbine downloader, not the torrent. I'm getting nearly 800k/sec out of the downloader. Torrent was frozen.

p.s.
I thought we WERE allowed to play with our European friends?? I'd heard Turbine re-thought that approach and the RELEASE version I believe will be cross-country. I know that there are separate EU beta clients/servers but I'm almost positive in the end it wont matter.

Eu players can purchase a NA version and vice versa. Initially turbine was going to IP block cross regional playing but they've since removed that so now Euro players can buy the NA version and play on NA servers.

A trick I used to get in early is simply reserve a copy at Gamestop/EBGames for $5 and they'll give you a preorder DVD with a key. If you decide you like it you can purchase the full version when it releases. Either way, EVERYONE will have to reinstall the full version at release. Beta versions wont work.

Ive just finished the install. Ill be Sarcoma in Elendilmir.

Any hints on char gereration or starting location? Ive also put in the code from PC gamer to get a few items...ayn input on that.

No clue on the code. I got a cloak and a ring with marginal starting stats for being a pre-order. At 13, I'm still wearing both.

As far as characters go, do whatever you are going to have fun with.

Be forewarned that if you chose Minstrel, we will laugh when grouped with you
