Plude thought that abscond as "Nice looking map we could use a new Vip map." No one else responded to either one, so I thought no interest. Anyone want to look at the links/maps and maybe we could add some more? In the abscond map, I mentioned the other maps I was going to look at, but got side tracked by some tactics posts.
What's on the server now for VIP maps is pretty much the best of what's currently available. The rest of them either suffer from being too small, not enough routes or just plain dull.

I think VIP maps need 2 rescue zones a map like Forest would be perfect for this since its so big the CTs could spawn where the Ts do and have the shacks as rescue zones.

While forest is big, I don't think it would make that great of a VIP map. The path is too straight toward any areas. The only reason as a bomb map it isn't a run and gun map is because the CTs must stay on defense by our rules.

While it is big, there aren't that many routes/places to go if the Ts go on the offense to hunt the VIP down. The CTs would have to hunker down in a defensible position and kill off a few attackers before attempting to move forward.

It would need some new routes or something.

Extra routes would certainly help, but you can hide in the foliage so well. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if half the rounds ended in the the whole Terrorist team dying before any contact, because the VIP sneaked in.

Either way VIP is fun. Oh and don't forget to unlock AWP admins. AWP is allowed in VIP... right?
