Re: cs_retreat
![]() The remaining terrorist was watching the house from the middle-left side. Our last CT snuck in and snagged the hostages, and proceeded to move out the side door. The T didn't see this because a hill conviniently blocked the path he ran. When the T ran into the house, he saw the hostages gone... and made it about halfway to the Rescue Zone before the game was won.

Re: cs_retreat
I rescued the hostages on cs_retreat once with me and one T left. I don't exactly remember all of what occured, but I know I snuck them around the back of the house, towards the bridge and through the water. I think the remaining T was inside the house the entire time, I was just really, really stealth about it. Again, I don't remember exactly though.

Re: cs_retreat
I once rescued all the hostages with support from Poe, I remember that distinctly. He suppressed a couple Ts, I took absolutely no fire the whole time.
That was just a really coordinated stunt though. |

Re: cs_retreat
I've taken this map out of rotation. I'm reluctantly considering pulling it from the server. A couple of nights ago I saw CT's in areas of the map no-one had previously realised were accessible, and the result is that the T's are practically standing in the open if they are anywhere near their objective.

Re: cs_retreat
A good PCS player would never exploit a map glitch, this should go without saying.
If you go outside the top of the map, sometimes NoDraw brushes let you see into areas of maps that shouldn't be visible.

Re: cs_retreat
I noticed that before, but never from a CT point of view.
I've killed people that seem to be way up the left side of the map on the rock slope, and also on top of rocks directly across from the house. I thought the number of CT sniping vantages evened things up a bit. CT's still have to get into the house, and get out alive with the hossies, you can't do that with a scout from all the way across the map. I'll fly around the map a bit and see if there's something I missed as well, maybe there are some ridiculous advantages for the CT's or something.
