Random, that's a great response.

In this case, I didn't care to have tactical disagreements b/c in spite of ALL the valid logic, I've seen it work well. If it was legal, I'd use it. Since it isn't, I wont.

The most obvious application comes in the fact that b/c its such a questionable spot, CTs initially do not expect to find anyone there. The element of surprise works well, and I have been killed at least twice blundering around the corner on my way to Courtyard. Sure I should be watching it, but lets face it, we all get lazy from time to time. Now, once the T shows up there the first time,, the word is out. So, post suprise.. A) I've seen it used -SUCCESSFULLY mid round as an ambush position. CTs dont watch the left when they breach the bridge from Courtyard. B) If you delay your move out and around the corner to where you can see the avenue, you cut off any CTs under the balcany from retreat. C) It offers an excellent way of killing CTs just as they are evacing hosties as you can jump down and cut off the evac box. (Of course in this application you must have very creative circumstances to justify it. The only time it might work is if the CTs rushed fast enough through atrium that they had hosties moving before you had a chance to support the other Ts.) D) Its a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from Hosties, so its not like you've overextended the team. T's covering couryard are farther from the hosties than you are. E) Leaves more of the board unsafe for CTs - always a good thing. F) Lets not forget, you ARE covering pipes. This is all I could think of for right now. (I know people will apply specific circumstances and disect this until its meaningless, but this is enough to justify the OPTION of going to the spot. I personally dont like the spot - I prefer to cover atrium or balcony - but after the second time I got killed from there, I wanted to know whether or not it was legal.)
