When one set is taken, everyone who is playing by the objectives knows to fall back to guard the other set. This leads to a final shoot-out. Which leads to the ever present DM aspect of any online game.

I agree... the back two get rescued way more often then you might think...

Yikes. Please, I understand that the hostages being rescued is a rare event on any map.

That said, I still feel that the "all hostages rescued" winning condition is even smaller for bhd_Convoy when compared to other hostage maps.

The design of the map does not favor the objectives. For example, the only way to get the hostages out of the T spawn building is through the front door. Having such limited escape routes (one) is poor design. There should be alternate routes for the CT to escape with the hosties.

...and c-mon now... I was just adding some oppinion here. I can have fun on bhd_convoy, just like the rest of ya's. I'm doing my best to look at the map objectively, and I feel it seriously fails on that account.

I've extracted all 4 in one go on many occasions. Havana is all down to the available routes, and the co-operation of the team.

IMO it's one of the best hostage rescue maps we play.

I have jumped off the second floor balcony and they have followed before. Just saying, not trying to jump your opinion. Infact I personaly do not like the map. I just think knocking it for hostage related reasons is unfair.

But, if the t's guard the hostages closer when their numbers dwindle you will run into the same problem. However it is a fantastic hostage map.

Whatever happened to this map? I used to love it, and it's still up there with parkhouse for me.

Re: bhd_convoy

I've seen all the hostages rescued on
parkhouse
cuba (tough, but doable)
havana
and just about every other map.

It all depends on how the Ts depend. There is always the chance that the Ts might mess up. That they might not defend well. That the central defenders could be killed and the hosties pulled before the flanks can pull back in.
