NS Help!
I've d/led and attempted to install NS from three different sites and have had the same problem with all three. The installer falls to "recognize" my steam account and installation freezes at this point. I've attempted to extract directly into my mods file but that hasn't worked either. Any ideas?

It doesn't go in "Sourcemods"
In ye olde school of Half-life modding, it goes into the half-life folder, thus you need the game "Half-Life" for it to install into, if you do not have half-life, you can not A: Run it and B: install it properly.
