AdBlock Plus's installation sometimes results in the user never seeing the post-installation dialog with which he selects the auto-updating ad-block list to which he'll "subscribe".

If you don't specify a subscription, I'd imagine that the addon doesn't block ads automatically, in which case you're missing its most powerful feature.
