    Re: script question

Adj, is this "wiggle walk" going in the official 3.0 manual as a developer-sanctioned and -promoted marine ability?

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

    Re: script question

The question should be if you would allow "wiggle walking" or not. All I can tell you is it's acceptable in CAL. You can easily do it without a script, I do it all the time because a script tends to lock you up.

Hold forward and strafe left and right quickly as marine. You will gain speed.

I do not know the dev's position on it. Adj will probably see this and give some crazy answer later =P

    Re: script question

The script you refer to uses the _special variable to switch between left and right, simulating marine movement. I don't think I've seen anyone actually use one of these. It's allowed in CAL because no one in CAL particularly cares about _special, and it will be blocked again in b6 apparently. You couldn't prove anyone was using this anyways, so I wouldn't worry about it. It's far more effective to simply wallstrafe.
