Just in case you've been under a rock for the last week
CS:Source is released, we are now able to purchase HL2 over steam, HL2 IS NOT PLAYABLE YET. But when it is released....its ours baby...
oh yeah, CS:Source is automatically playable, so your not getting ripped off dont worry :-D. I recommend the Silver package, Gold is a bit out there in the wasteful stuff.... I think im going to explode...GUYS ITS HERE LIKE THEY PROMISED!!! A YEAR LATE BUT ITS ACTUALLY ON MY PC!!!!11111eevlene1!11elvenn!11!1THEY WERENT LYING!!!*heart attack*

My plan for HL2:
CS:S isnt worth it.
Download it and play single player
When mods come out then buy it. Probably 12-20 bucks cheaper by then.

cs:source = counter strike on the hl2 engine. Same old crappy cs with some newer graphics as far as im concerned. I haven't played it myself, but I doubt that its much of an improvement so I won't bother.

Actually Polska, CS:Source isn't too bad. i've enjoyed what I've played. Flashbangs actually work now and that's a huge improvement. Some objects are movable so you can use them as shields (i.e. steel barrels) and you can hide under bodies to use them as cover. While the tactical value is now in CS, it still remains the stuff of kiddies as people go screaming in, guns a blazing. But hey.. I have to give credit where credit is due.

hl2 doesn't seem all that anymore, they've made me wait for too long and I havn't seen anything terribly impressive. I think i'll just play WoW instead =P
