There were siege maps back in 1.04. I remember because you started with three hives and the first order of business was to have all the skulks xenocide and hold attack so they wouldn't spawn and the gorge would get res faster to put up res nodes.

I remember the marines going for jetpacks and I'd constantly take them out of the air as onos with paralyze. Oh those were Good Times....

Honestly, I put siege in the same boat as combat: it's a fun alternative to NS.

I'm getting tired of the same NS maps over and over, I'd like to try something new even if it is stupid.
