Installing steam
Before I add Counter-Strike to my Games list should I unselect Natural selection? Or by the looks of it it does copies all the mods to the Steam directory?
Waiting patiently.

I wouldn't bother installing NS to Steam until 2.1 comes out, at which point the 2.1 installer will automate everything for you.
Just install Counter-Strike.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

11-04-2003, 08:48 PM #4When is 2.1 estimated release date? Cause it would be nice to uninstall HL and just have steam installed (thought about doing it today but since I was planning on reinstalling NS sometime this week, I am holding off)

Wolfie, beyond "soon," I don't know of a release ETA. However, my experience with 2.1 was that 2.1 was as seperate a product from 2.01 as is ... Paint Shop Pro. They really are treated as two completely seperate programs. You can install the new, let them co-exist, uninstall the old when you're comfortable with the new, and you'll never know the difference (with the exception of backing up an custom sprays or binds you might have set up in the old NS, and which can easily be moved to the new NS).

Mental Note. Nightfire is not to be placed in charge of Crisis Management.
