Getting players to stay.
If you notice a player being very active or very coopertive and giving info back to the team, pull them aside at an appropriate time and quickly and nicely tell them about TG and give them a link.
Something quick like "Everyone here at TG has enjoyed playing with you, it would be nice if you came by our website and talked to us. www.tacticalgamer.com"
These personal connections/friends is what will draw them back again and again.
I saw somone last night and im pissed right now cause i didnt talk to him on a personal level. Most players that you talk to directly about TG will most likely check out the website if he/she enjoyed their stay.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

I do the "personal" bit here and on other servers as well. Being in the Constellation beta has allowed me to meet a good bunch of people who actually want to play the game. I'll occasionally send PM's to people on other forums if they express a dissatisfaction with public play as well.I am the one, I am the zero, I am your low resolution hero.

I try to keep the NS server alive, that is my purpose. Bentley spams the forum, but im afraid even his forum magic is not enough on its own
. Tis true, there has not been much activity around here lately.
We need 2.1 perhaps to spark some life back into the server. Lets hope that does the job.

I love gaming, mmmmmmmm

Well, the people playing usually isn't an issue, most nights the NS server gets full, and I see plenty of people playing Ghost Recon/RTCW/B1942/Counterstrike, and lots of people on Teamspeak playing other games as well.
So while the gaming aspect is still there, it seems a lot of people don't want to talk anymore
