Declare marshal law and let the admins purge the server!

Re: Cheating Death - Required?

Yah maybe we could use more admins or just let every member be a temp admin until a real admin joins and even then leave one temp admin that is on the team opposite the real admin.

Re: Cheating Death - Required?

2 games out of the whole day were good.

Rest were horrible on either side, rines or aliens. Main reason?

People dont communicate - alien team.

People dont follow orders and communicate - marine team

in one game I said kick the whole team, cause none of the rines except 1 followed orders, 1 out of 6.

Re: Cheating Death - Required?

I know its not my business, but may I suggest something to the admins? When someone is annoying on voice comm, don't mute them. Most of them wind up cussing and then, no one has to deal with it. *kick* . Just a suggestion.

Back to CD. If we forced download of CD, it will prevent more people. Tryst me, nubs are impatient. They won't want to download CD. And we'll also get less of those people who "I have CD I just forgot to turn it on". It'll remind them.

Re: Cheating Death - Required?

After playing a bit today, I changed my mind. My vote goes for making CD required.

A-men.. I had to quit tonite b/c I got too creeped out.

I would support a test to see how well we can populate the server with cd required, but I think a more agressive RSR system would be a better alternative.

CD is a must, I agree with gameR when he said pubs are impatient and wont bother with DL'ing the CD.

Re: Cheating Death - Required?

My vote is for CD req. Few good games I had last night were ones where the majority was regulars (or at least names I recognized). No Mr. Nice commander for me as long as cd is optional (was I ever Mr. nice commander?). I had to sell an armory for the first time in probably a year, because I heve never seen more marines sitting in base humping the armory, or not knowing what to do.

Part of the problem for me is not knowing who is new, who is ignorant and who is just plain stupid. Ive seen some players get frustrated after a long beating, just to blame the game on their commander because they didn't get waypoints. However during the game they made no effort to adk for help or work with the commander in any way.

Anyway, its the same old story, we have been in this situation before. I say CD Req for a couple days.

Re: Cheating Death - Required?

So far CD-REQ is working fine. A few people say "CD sucks" but they shut up soon after. I really don't understand why people hate CD. Its such an easy program and you don't have to do a whole lot. Anyway, I know some people look specifically for CD-REQ servers so not only do we loose bad people, but we'll probably gain some new ones.
