Leave of Absence
Just wanted to let you know that my absence for the next week or so isnt cause I suddenly decided I hate you all, but simply cause i'm moving to florida for my doctoral program. Much love for the NS gang!

Well, I made it alright. 30 hour drive and I got food poisoning from McDonalds in kansas, so I was up and barfing the whole time, but homecooked food courtesy of my mom seemed to help some. To answer questions:
1.)I'm getting my doctorate of nursing practice (DrNP), which will make me as qualified to practice as an MD, except I have much more actual experience in on the clinical practice end (actually doing stuff with patients instead of just diagnosing them and walking off to let the nurses do the work). I'll still be a practicing nurse, but my pay will jump by about 65k a year, or i could work per-diem for about 140 bucks an hour at the low end.
2.)I'm gonna be living in orlando (casselberry) about 4 miles from UCF and commuting to tampa every tues/thurs for my clinical sessions at tampa general and st. joesephs hospitals.
3.)I'm on my parents computer, so no NS yet, but I should be back up and running by this weekend at the latest.
