Getting Booted out of Server..All of a sudden.
Hey Everyone'
I dl ns about 2 weeks ago and have been playing on the Tactical servers pretty frequently. Well just recently Steam had updated itself and now I have to say that about 80% of the servers I try connecting to (TG's server 1st) I have been getting this message. "Your .dll [cl_dlls\client.dll] differs from the servers." Now sometimes I actually get in the server and then moments later, I get kicked to the nS/steam servers screen. This problem is Very Annoying and is driving me crazy. Especially for the fact that I had been playing without any difficulties before. So please, I beg off you. Help me as best as you can. It sounds as though you're running NS 3.1 and not the 3.2b2 version that's running. At least, that's the error I got when I was off making that mistake doing some plugin testing.

I'll try it again. Is there a way for someone to send me there .dll files just so i can replace the ones that differ from the server.
Well i think i have the install for ns saved let me check the vers. This is what the install says. ns_install_v32-beta2 Isnt that right? This problem happened out of nowhere. Steam Updated itself and bam having problems connecting and staying in the servers.

Steam does that from time to time. If a reinstall doesnt sort it out, let us know and we'll see about another solution. However, a reinstall usually does it for that kind of thing.

Not only did i reinstall Steam, but I Downloaded and reinstalled ns again.
Ok i don't get the message in the TG servers anymore, but what it does now is. When i load into the server, i can sometimes make into a team, but then i get booted to the NS main screen. Any clues?

try it again and this time, when you get booted to the main screen, open the console and type condump. you will see a line that says "console dumped to condump001.txt". Open your nsp directory and find the file. open it up and copy/paste the contents here. that will help us diagnose what the problem is.

Where do I find that stuff?
I typed in Condump like you said and the 1st time i did it is said(in the console).. "console dumped to condump000.tx", yet i dont see that anywhere. The 2nd time i did it, it says "console dumped to condump001.txt" Where is this file? I looked in the NSP folder and its not there. Am I a loser or something?..lol. Man all i wanna do is play ns with you guys. Keep helping and thanks for the help so far.

BTW'
I did see this message above the condump message in the console. "Host_Error: CL_ParseServerMessage: Illegible server message - svc_bad"... Does that mean anything?

Rejoining definitly does not work.
I tried that thinking..aww damn they kicked me by mistake.lol. but yeah, rejoining doesnt work kero. Next! I really do appreciate the help.

I'm not referring to admin kicking. I'm referring to what we call the "STEAMed effect", where a bunch of people get randomly dropped by the server at the same time with "CL_ParseServerMessage: Illegible server message - svc_bad" errors. When I saw you post that error message, I guessed you might be having the same issue. But its certainly possible your error could be being caused by something totally different.
Now that I look at your condump in more detail, the last few lines leading up to our STEAMed effect errors were usually the same, and yours are different, so yeah, its probably a different problem. Which means I know nothing about it and should stop talking before I make a fool of myself.  |

Well I figured I would try Kero's method one more time and low and behold, a new message appears.
I was disconnected and this is what was in the disconnected box.
