Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

agreed. now if the same thing had happened with prometheus we would have got 2 quality maps out of 3.2, but alas no, we're stuck with the most fade/marine/onos/lerk unfriendly map there is and the badass map that is machina.

We'll see how the aliens do with increased game-play. Right now (on TG at least) without very good alien pressure the marines have the map.

I still think it's one of the most beautiful and exciting maps to play. You should feel very proud merkaba.

With the lerk fix, I think this may balance the map a bit more. Just expect 2+ lerks every game .

Now that I think of it, this map usually does have epic games. Compared to most maps that are 15-22 minutes long for the average game, this is a welcome change. It is harder to track marine/alien progress on this map which means that keeping an eye on making sure neither teams gets too large of an advantage mid-game means that the end game is sure gonna rock.

My opinions of this map have changed significantly. I dig it now like I did before, but for better reasons. Thanks a lot, merkaba!

Definately an 8v8 maybe even 9v9 or 10v10 is perfectly doable and balanced .

Not sure if this has been mentioned somewhere, but it's currently not possible to med marines in the central area of the middle hive. The medpacks drop and get stuck in mid-air somewhere above them, still costing the res and causing immense frustration as you watch your helpless marines die and lose the hive. Since the middle hive is a fairly important location, I'd consider this a fairly serious flaw with the map. I'm fine with some hives being more alien-friendly, and even with rooms that you can't med in because of water. But it shouldn't try to sucker you in by making it look like you can med and then mugging you and stealing your hard-earned res.

The problem you speak of Ag is that little vent shelf in maus hive that allows medding. It is kind of screwy how you can see to the floor though but can't med on the floor itself.

It's so you can drop chambers on those beams up there. I do it often.
