Re: All-Time Greatest
Personally for me its any game as a marine winning a 3 hive comeback, all 3 up.

Re: All-Time Greatest
I think the best I can remember is one game on Bast with Wyz commanding the marine team... I was on aliens. We got down to 0 hives twice before coming back to win the game. That was one freakin' crazy comeback. We just refused to give up, and kept fighting the res war at all times. By the time our hive came back up we had people with enough resources for upper lifeforms, and the others just quickly dropped a second hive again and recapped nodes. It was an absolutely crazy game.
Wyz was pissed after. :P

Re: All-Time Greatest
I remember being disgusted with my poor decision making administratively. Multiple marines lasted several minutes into that game more than they should have been allowed to, and their peers suffered the burden of their immaturity until I finally intervened, at which point the game was already lost.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: All-Time Greatest
Try this for size, happened on another server when I was in a hurry needing to leave for work:
Relocating immediately outside the hive on (I think) ns_metal. No armory, just 3 ips, lots of healthpacks, and a siege. Game was over in about 3 minutes. I don't think I even dropped any RTs. I then immediately left for work.
I'm back by the way, expect to be seeing more in the near future...."Chance favors the prepared mind" -Sir Isaac Newton

*nods*
It seems like most great comebacks on one side are paired with horror stories of problems of immaturity or lack of teamwork on the other side. It's kind of sad. I couldn't remember exactly what had happened to the marines that game but I did think it was something like that.

Greatest gorge party on the hive the other day, we were doing captians, and 7 out of 8 peps were gorge on the hive. Then they started seiging, and that didnt last long, they took down 40% a scan so yea we had no chance, but meh, all parties seem to get crashed

Re: All-Time Greatest
Reminds me of a captains we played the other night on ns_machina. Marines had to make the perilous climb from the landing pad to assault the gorge ridden mausoleum hive. We did some decent damage against the DC hive with gls but weren't able to take it until we heavy trained up there.Greatest gorge party on the hive the other day, we were doing captians, and 7 out of 8 peps were gorge on the hive. Re: All-Time Greatest
Heh... I didn't make it over to the hive before the assault started, so I was just above where the marines were crawling out. They were nice enough to leave me in peace. Did you check out my amazing ride at the very end? It was pretty hot. Definitely the all time greatest gorge bobsled.

Yes, I was surprised you were able to stay up there undetected the whole time.
