Overall I prefer the status quo, though if a change were to be made I'd prefer Kero's idea. I really don't enjoy starting a game and realizing my team is going to be down a player from the start. If that player is kept in the readyroom it at least doesn't unbalance the teams, though this could get out of hand if too many people were to start using it.
