Re: Incentive for ?'s to register and become part of the community.
Welcome to the server Boogalo. Some of the things you could try to receive more consistent help from regs is to add something like [new] in your name. That way regs will know to give more in depth info about hive dropping, less abbreviation usage, and general help. Or just come start a thread here with any questions you have.

Well the only other insentive i could think of is they wouldn't be the first to be slot kicked, but with the new GB command that doesn't even work.
I think it is mainly as said, people register and they'll stop getting asked ' can you hear me' and be known.
Also i haven't actualy seen many people regsiter recently, even though they said they did everything correctly, something wrong?

Re: Incentive for ?'s to register and become part of the community.
I've been playing since 1.0, so I have all of the basics down. I hope I haven't given the impression that i was that green
. Getting used to tactics and not being laggy lunchmeat as a marine or skulk has taken the most adjustment. Before I got ISDN 3 months ago I was basically limited to gorging, or endgame lifeforms. Didn't play marine much since I couldn't aim for crap.
When I found TG I invited a friend to join me for a game or two. He was on the losing team a couple of times and gave up because he felt he couldn't keep up with everyone. I like that everyone is better than me, it helps me improve myself. I want to start playing more, but the gf has been dragging me into WoW, and my powersupply exploded, so i've been down for about 3 weeks
Just be welcoming of ?'s, try not to talk down to them(i like to assume someone knows how to play, ask them to drop a hive, instead of IF they know how to drop one, if they're not listening, that's what GB is for, let someone else fill the spot) but be patient if there are questions. Some will register, others won't.
