Actually, I'm curious Tours. Please, without names, enlighten us to some of the circumstances that got you tossed out. I've been playing on TG for 2 years now and I have yet to see ANY admin abuse. Every action taken that I've ever observed has been justified. Chances are, if you read over the server rules, you'll find that the reasons you were kicked (especially if its numerous times) are listed there.

its been so long i can really only remember two.

1) when i was new to the server an admin kicked me for going to powersilo when comm told me to go to gen, i come back in, ask the admin why i was kicked and told him it was kinda stupid to do so without warning me first:banned

2)i say over voicecomm "ya someone on vent said they have no CC":banned without warning, permenantly. while this one is debatable its still rather harsh.(while there are rules about this now there was nothing about it at the time)

perhaps its the get banned without warning then get unbanned later thing that pisses me off the most

You ignored comm orders and you're suprised action was taken?

On the second occasion you cheated and you're suprised action was taken? There should be no need for a rule against it. Everyone knows what cheating is, and everyone knows it's flat out dishonest.

I myself have been banned before, but not without reason. As stated in the readings, a ban is an invitation to talk with an Admin.

The admin's are nice folk, reasonable and friendly. They have their reasons and will gladly speak about such things over PMs, but not ON the server or just in threads.

From what i read it seems to be communication was the first one. Teamwork is key and if people don't listen to the comm it can really hurt game play. 2nd one i think anyone would be weary about.

Then again, i'm no admin so i can only go from what i know of reading the rules.

2)as i said "this one is debatable" because the server rules at the time said nothing about ghosting. even if the rule had been in place it could have BARELY been classified as cheating given the circumstances of the game.

whether or not those instances of banning were just or not, the point is that the way i was treated the entire time i played on TG can pretty much be summed up by what wyz did to my first post in this thread -_-

You dishonestly gained information that would help your team, and acted on it. My son is 8 years old and is capabale of understanding 2 things about your post :

1) it's cheating.
2) it's wrong.

Are you going to address my point that a rule against cheating shouldn't need to be written down? We've now established that an 8 year old can grasp the key elements. What sort of person are you that you would consider cheating anyway?

One nice thing about TGNS is that the admins, even if they may have been overstepping in the original ban, don't resort to insults as if character defamation can somehow justify a ban. Other TG communities don't always follow this rule, which is probably why TGNS has outlasted them.
