    Save Internet Radio

The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger. The Copyright Royalty Board in Washington, DC has more than tripled the royalty rates for webcasters and left unchanged they will kill Internet radio. These exorbitant rates go into effect on May 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!). Without Congressional action the majority of webcasters will go bankrupt and silent on this date. We need your help. Please take a moment to send a letter to your member of Congress to keep Net radio from being silenced.

Yeah if you don't know try pandora, you will be amazed.

You put in a band or song you like, and it streams other bands and songs you will like. You press 'like' or 'dislike' and the algo adapts.

Key thing is it actually works since the musical qualities of each song is HAND ENTERED by industry professionals and music lovers.

You can even make crazy mixes to base a personal station off of.

    Try it!

I'm really surprised by how much this all is doing. A new bill introduced, the royalties extended...

Yeah, do it so I can start buying laws. It'll be hot.

PS: My district is promoting the bill already. The internet said not to call, so I didn't.

Wrote my emails. 1 congressman wrote back with an intelligent reply. I don't think the other guys even bothered. He's the only one I voted for last time, so I think I chose well. Now if only we could oust the others.

It's incredible to me that we are so insistent on retarding new technology in our country.

Definitely my favorite of the Democratic party, but I'll be voting for Ron Paul. (For insight, I was a democrat until about a year or two ago-- Reevaluation of what I think America should be. Libertarian for life.)

Anyways, I'll be doing as much as possible to help the cause as well.

I need to learn more about Ron Paul but from what I've heard he is also a breath of fresh air.
