[ The Gauntlet ] Map Poll
I am definitely having origin and eclipse in the cycle.

I'd actually like to see the exact opposite of this poll: what five maps do you NOT want to see in the mapcycle. I think the maps you want are those with the greatest difference between the number of people that want them and the number of people who don't want them. This poll equates indifference and complete disgust with a map, which I don't think will yield good results. I'd much rather play two decent maps than one good and one abysmal map. For instance, here are five maps that I greatly dislike (and I feel much more strongly about these than about the five I just voted for): tanith, shiva, hera, nothing and caged.

Why so few votes for altair and eon? Both are much better maps for competitive play than hera/nothing and they are getting less votes. Upon further reading I guess I voted for too many maps so here is my list:
1. Veil - pretty much THE standard map
2. Orbital
3. Metal
4. Caged - really like the new caged
5. Lost
Other good maps
6. Tanith - just bored of cargo so I left it out of top 5
7. Altair - for some reason people don't like it and I don't know why
8. Eon - yet another map that people just don't seem to like
These are all the maps I chose on the vote, but had I read your post the first time it would have been just the top 5. Don't invalidate my vote plz

Remember that this isn't a "competitive" tournament so-to-speak, it's an in-community tournament, and that even though Hera and Nothing aren't great for competitive play doesn't mean they aren't awesome for in-house play. This tournament should be enjoyable for everyone who plays in it, and I 100% support using the community to find out what they want to play instead of playing what everyone *should* be playing.

Lucid would be a better map if the res nodes weren't so huddled together around the middle of the map.
