Haha. I spent hours at work (...yeah, hard earned money) trying to find the photoshopped Steam image listing Visa, Mastercard and "Send you an envelope with sum money in it" but to no avail.

For those who are in the dark it probably wont seem that funny since it's one of those "you had to be there" things. Back before HL2 was released, Valve announced that it would start a preload of its content and that you could now preorder it through Steam. On one of the forums dedicated to HL2, I think halflife2.net (?), there was a thread about acceptable methods of payment. A lot of people were concerned because they didnt have credit cards, so one of them spoke up asking if "i could send you an envelope with sum money in it."

What followed was a hysterical burn fest of the person who said something so silly. The icing on the cake was somebody's photoshopped screenshot of Steam's preorder screen where you selected your credit card type. Listed on the spoof was Visa, Mastercard, and "Send you an envelope with sum money in it."
