great map for Lerks, clear indication of Vent's on minimap.
Sub floor vent leading from Loading Bay to Cargo hive is a abit over powering. Send 2 HA/sg's to spot the hive, fades wont stop em there and skulks will be useless, onos are too fat to get in there. The vent exits right under the hive.

I havnt gotten to partake in a Loading Bay siege yet, but two HA can actually spot the hive and stay alive from that floor vent?! Wouldnt they be like RIGHT UNDER the hive? I would've thought that a fade could blink in and out fast enough, getting a swipe or two each time, to at least make them back away from spotting the hive.

So Waste and Cargo hives both have extremely easy sieges where aliens have to run down two hallways to reach the siege position. There is some vent access, but when the vent is all the marines have to worry about it doesn't accomplish much. The Water siege, being the most difficult of the three, is still somewhat easier than subspace on nancy or docking on nexus. To be playable, this map will need to be reworked to be less contorted around the hives, or to move the hallways around the hives out of siege range.

I don't like this map. It's another of those maps with intentionally bizarre architecture obviously designed to look cool without any thought to being intuitive. With a custom map, there are always going to be people who don't know their way around and when the map itself is so confusing it just exasperates the problem.
More importantly, it's unplayably marine biased. The siege spots are completely ridiculous; it takes aliens ages to run to them from the hive, and on top of that they're all at the end of pathetically easy to camp long hallways. This map is a server-killer and needs to be taken off the rotation at least until a playable build is released. |
