Custom NS Hallway [Under Construction]

I decided I'd try my hand at map making for NS. Right now this is the hallway I'm working on. I decided it was best to have a seperate thread for my pictures and updates to show the community and get some feed back. I 'm especially proud of my rounded edges

Please keep in mind that this is far from finished, and that I'm not able to truly set up the door ways as that all depends on the rooms it's linking. I'm sorry it's still in preview mode as I'm not able to compile just yet. When it is compiled you won't see that bright blue that acts as a mask. Also on the low shot there will be a vent connecting so that aliens can run across, underneath, undetected.

Also I was hoping to have the large bay windows open to another room, so that you could see the action but you couldn't help from where you standed. It'd also work from the other side looking in

I have to thank ImageShack for hosting the images for free.

Re: Custom NS Hallway [Under Construction]

Thanks for the nice comments. I didn't expect it to be recieved so well. Let me know if you have any critisms, suggestions or other. I'd be glad to adapt it to fit any given situation. U turn, J turn, T junction maybe throw in a resource nozzle. I'm gonna see about making those bay windows from veil have masks, that way we could have 3D skyboxs so to speak.

That's what's great about mapping for HL, you can make a good looking level using almost exclusively brushwork and a nice texture set.

I hope it goes well for you.
