I also have no mapping experience but would like to help out. Maybe a quick and dirty jump into mapping event can be done, with teamspeak .

I took some time, And drew up all my ideas on one image.

Yes, that a lot of changes, but bast needs work, and I put down everything I thought might help.

The weldable, (Bast needs some) open this way.
The one in bridge allows the door at ms to be opened.
The one near the wall hiding the node allows marines to access the node, aliens should have a vent that lets them in to the node.

2 nodes are moved in my plan, and there is 3 possible new nodes. The first, is hidden behind a weld point, the second is in bridge to make that area worthwhile, and third is in the new room that uses to be the left half of refinery. The map should have a seige point in the hallway beween the two rooms, but only in there.

I planed out a lot possible vents, Bast need more vents in my mind.

Okay. Problem:

We cannot get a copy of the source because it was an original NS map, and mendasp feels he shouldn't release it. I don't blame him.

Therefore, the only possible way we can update bast in any way is to remake the entire map ourselves. I'm not up for that, since we could just make our own map instead of recreating a map that's already been made.

I vote we just replace bast with whatever map we eventually finish.

Everyone else?

Seems to be odd to me. Why would he allow you to update it, if he would not let you have the source to do so?

And what has happened with the tg map that was started a while ago?

Vote to replace it.

What happened is, everyone lost interest, yer mom's PC got reformated. I twas' all alone in making it for a bit, i got the ready room done and started making the actual map... its got a long way to go and needs to be edited a few times and play tested but i hope it will be good

I vote to TRY replacing it.

Thank you very much lagarto, renaming NS makes it work much smoother and the game data picks it up and marine spawns work. thanks!
