A shift to the way the 101 works currently, but something to think about. One member of the kharaa may want to NOT grab a res node early, saving his res and working with another to defend a key spot/kill marines. This will give him a head start on going fade or onos, something that may become more necessary against the more aggressive commanders.

I do like the idea of 1 gorge being the "upgrade defending gorge" (IE: Only drops res nodes & evolutions) and there being another gorge (or 2) whose sole purpose is to drop hives. Of course they wouldnt be gorges the entire time but start off as skulks.
Here give this a try.. I know it works.
How to do it:
1) Well first everybody has to agree
2) Have one person go gorge and cap as many res nodes as they can
3) Around 5 nodes he should start to drop evolution
4) At the time of 3 all the other skulks should be around 70 maybe even 100 res in that case 2 Skulks go to each of the remaining hives, evolve into a gorge and drop the hive. Both of the new gorges will remain at the hive to lay down defense while the first gorge evolves into anything they want.
Pros
- Fast way to get 3 hives.
- Really easy res
Cons
- Can confuse those who just enter game (restrict to tourny play or TG style of play)
- Any type of marine rush will kill any chance of this working
- Has to be a big game
- Team work and communication is a must.
This method does work, I have used it a couple of times successfully on public servers, but it does come down to "if you can trust those you're working with" because any type of screw up at all will flush this down the can. But it does work since skulks are more likely to get 100 res very early in the game.

I can avoid skulks and even onos by strafing in a circle, The ono's cant even stop stun me if i do it right and there fore, cant devour me. It did take me quite a bit to get used to not being able to jump like in 1.4, in 1.4 i could keep several skulks chasing me for quite some time by jumping around untill i either killed them or back up came and assisted me, often times i would have enough time to reload my light machine gun and unload it's bullets quite a few times.

And yet not, since 3.0 works on mostly the same principles as 2.0 in regards to the economy of the kharaa. I suppose I should get busy writing the KE101 for 3.0 anyway though.
