Re: The T-Fact
Note the words "this server". I speak for NS in general, not simply the TG server. Some of us play other places too. To me it's a waste of res for almost any static defense. I move far too fast and rely on my marines to do the damage for me. Just watch when I play and see how dramatically different my style is from every other comm on the server.

Re: The T-Fact
Sounds like your talking clan play, I would find it hard to believe that you could find a better group of marines on a public NS server. Im not talking nspug.

Your strats are not too different, sure run from hive to hive shooting stuff and spamming meds (which is one of the better things you can do) There are many comms do this here all the time. To simply say your style of play is "the best" is just arrogant.
If your that much better then move on! Dont bother with us and our inferior skill.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: The T-Fact
I'd like to know where I said that my play style was "the best". I simply said it was my style. I don't simply run from hive to hive. I never electrify, I never drop a single turret, yet I win. I don't lock down hives and squeeze the aliens to death, or put phase gates all over the map. I get nodes, I hold them, I hit their nodes, I attack the hive, then I win. Other commanders have to electrify nodes everywhere and turret up certain locations. I also don't rely on heavy armor to get me wins. I rely on my marines, which is probably the most satisfying win you can get. I vary every game, rarely doing the same thing twice. Wyzcrack is as predictable as the rain is here in Georgia. He's going to get nodes, electrify them, hold them for a while, try and phasegate rush a hive, and work his way to heavy armor (or the OCCASIONAL jetpack push). How ridiculously boring, I couldn't do the same thing every game, I enjoy doing things that require effort. There's a reason I don't electrify or turret farm or even hold hives. It's a real challenge to direct marines around the map and keep them alive while they do what I ask. It's not a challenge to electrify all the nodes and rush the hive once I have HA while the entire alien team is a skulk. That's just not how I operate.

We took out their base and killed the comm, then ran the marines back. Two marines killed the entire team on the way back to marine start, they were down to pistols. We simply got outskilled, even though they had great things to say about our teamwork afterwards. Don't always be so stuck on teamwork, that should be the easy thing. Getting better individually at the game should be the challenging part.
Oh, and I play here because it's the most challenge besides pugging or playing with wmd. Ask the other wmd guys, I never lose a pub game, it's really boring to comm on other servers. At least here I can expect a little competition.

Let's just say Adj wins and save everyone the energy, shall we? So much for staying on topic.
