Re: Skulk movements?
That is not a valid excuse for flaming someone.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Re: Skulk movements?
How is me saying I am against scripts flaming them? So stating an opinion against something is flaming?

Re: Skulk movements?
Its not that we used them and said "Gee, I really don't enjoy using it. Let's stop and make other people stop, too". Its that we don't thier potential to ruin a game and want people to stop so its fun for the rest of us.

Re: Skulk movements?
I didn't flame him, not once. What I said was you can be expected to get flamedThe topic is about tempus not being able to close in for a kill as skulk. Dean (Sasuke) posted some guides in an attempt to help him. Here's where the topic gets de-railed. Ender posts "wow those guides have scripts in them, that's why I hate scripts". Now why do you think 3 experienced clan players, those being 52_cards, dean, and myself, reply with sarcasm? Because he posted off-topic with an opinion that wasn't particularly asked for. When you try to help someone and other people reply with ignorance ("omg scripts, I hate scripts, so anything that has anything to do with scripts at all is bad"), it's rather frustrating. Scripting had nothing to do with this topic, yet someone managed to introduce it when it was simply a sidenote.

Re: Skulk movements?
I'm getting the impression that people that don't use scripts think that if people that do use scripts were to stop - they would all be on par players.
Put another way - NSPlayer is just as good at NS as the top clan players - only the top clan players are better because (and only because) they script.
This is not the case. I shall make points if required.
So tell me - what's so *wrong* about scripting?

Re: Skulk movements?
Keep this discussion about skulk movements, even if that discussion includes scripts. We have other places to primarily discuss scripts.

Hoo boy...maybe everyone needs to stop and take a breath. Count to 10 (or higher, if necessary).
Wow.

Re: Skulk movements?
bite people and ambush and stuff.
good georb.
oh yeah, if you're next to a marine as a skulk, you SHOULD be hitting him. If you're missing bites within the bite range, then you just need to practice aiming. i've seen lots of TG skulks that just rush into marines and just bite wildly without hitting anything. AIM AT THEM, that can only INCREASE your chance of hitting them.
and this is especially important for fades, since missed swipes are far more costly. IF you're missing swipes, you're not doing a good job.Last edited by Sasuke; 08-30-2004 at 04:31 PM.
