NWN2 Interest?

Just curious is anyone will be picking up NWN2? Would like to go through the single player campaign with a few other players.

I am slightly interested, if there is anyone willing to go through the campaign at a leisurely pace. With NWN1, I just ended up missing the story as people ran ahead to find the next fight, and I found it disappointing.

Icky, I also found that frustrating. I would enjoy playing the campaign at a leisurely pace with a group of interested players.

Apophis, I pre-ordered and will be getting it the first day. Perhaps we can setup a time to start the campaign.

No cost. Anyone with a decent connection/system could host the multiplayer game. However I believe you can only have a party of four members in the campaign game. Like NWN though, persistent world modules will be created where many people can play together. However, it will take 6-9 months before these modules start to appear due to the time it will take to create the world with the NWN2 toolset.

I also pre-paid and am excited to check it out. Don't know how the whole bioware/obsidian thing will work out. I was a huge fan of how Bioware supported NWN1, I mean they supported the game non-stop for over two years and countless patches.

I also know what you mean about a leisurely pace Icky. Would like to actually read some of the dialogue instead of someone hitting 1, 1, 1, 1, as fast as they could to get through it.

If anyone is interested in a Lord of the Rings persistent NWN2 world, I played on an amazing server for a few years and the same team has been planning for six months and have now started building with the pre-release toolset for the next server. PM me and I'll send you a link to their website. They won't be ready for a month or two after release, so time enough to play the Official Campaign.

It sounds like this is as close as I'm going to get to PnP D&D for a while so count me in. I just want to be sure that I can play with folks that are more into "role play" and "roll play". I HATE when I miss a story line because some asshat can't wait to jump into the next combat.

Yep, I would also like to roll play the campaign. However, maybe Teamspeak shouldn't be used if roll playing. Being a 6'3" 250lb male, my voice doesn't quite do well when roll playing a halfling female.

However, I do look cute in a skirt...

I'm so looking forward to NWN2! Now if only my wife would be interested in it. She only likes to play games where she can blow me up with a rocket launcher...women.

ill get it eventually, but FFXII and Gears of War are comin out in the next 2 weeks, so im gonna have to wait. Never played NwN 1 but i heard good things. Always liked Diablo and Dungeon Siege though.

I will have NWN2 when it comes out.
But also Guitar Hero II, and FFXII. So I doubt I'll have the dedicated time to sit and run through the campaign with you guys.
However, much fun should be had when persistant worlds do start appearing.
