    So, first impressions?

I'm actually enjoying the single player version! The more-narrative less-talky storyline (thus far) is proving good, with a better pace to the action. It's a bit sluggish (sign of an aging PC unfortunately) but the spell effects are working smoothly so that's good so far.

I like the addition of the extra prestige classes and racial types. Sad to see that many of the bad points of NWN1 (like the voicesets - gah!!) have not been improved. Still - monkeygrip is there for all you paladin lovers!

Not sure whether to stick with the pally I made up to test char generation (I have to remake Crucient Blade of the Order of the Holy Hedgehog!) or to go with what I know (Elf Rogue / Human Fighter).

So, what is everyone else's initial impressions?

I like the graphics and once I turned off shadows it now runs smoothly. The story initially was a little "old-hat" but now that I'm in the city of Neverwinter it's getting interesting.

I agree about the AI though, it's a pain at times when they just sit there during a battle and you have to manually get them to attack. I'm sure many of the lil' bugs will be patched though. Overall I am very pleased with the game and it will give many hours of entertainment over the years with add-on modules and PWs.

Is this game sort of like Oblivion? If all I like are FPS's would I enjoy this kind of game?

Nope and nope :P It's a lot like Star Wars Knights of the old Republic, if you played it... of course, it's not star wars though

Thanks. I just figured it might be worth trying out since everybody is talking about how good it is.
