    Custom Loadouts

    I found this while browsing the CM forums: source

    To make a custom loadout first you need to locate the EntityDatabase.xml which should be located in your "Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising\Mission Editor\Database" Folder. Make sure you turn it off read only AND MAKE A BACKUP. Now you need to open it. Personally I use Notepad++ for this.

    Now press Ctrl+F and type "hidalgoaslt". This will allow you to modify the loadout of the unit called "Hidalgo Assault Variant" in the Mission Editor. You can change this to any class you wish to change. Scroll down to where it has the line:

    Code:
    <Param Name="SlotPrimaryF" Group="Inventory" Type="shortname" Value="sa28mk16a" Flags="2" Description="Primary front weapon - eg assault rifle" />
    You can change the "sa28mk16a" to any of the following weapon codes found at the bottom of this post. If you wish to add a second primary weapon add the line below the one above:

    Code:
    <Param Name="SlotPrimaryB" Group="Inventory" Type="shortname" Value="NEWWEAPONCODEHERE" Flags="2" Description="Second Primary front weapon - eg assault rifle" />
    Now scroll up slightly to where it has the line:

    Code:
    <Param Name="item01" Group="Inventory" Type="shortname" Value="am30mag556fmj" Flags="3" Description="Entity to be equipped by character" />
    And change the "am30mag556fmj" to an ammo code that is compatible with the weapon you chose. Congratulations on your new loadout!

    Now for what you have all been waiting for... the weapon codes and their respective ammo types.
    *NOTE: Only US weapon codes for now*

    Re: Custom Loadouts

    it looks like this is the global way of doing it, which is awesome.

    I wonder if there is a way to do it for a specific mission?

    Re: Custom Loadouts

    I'm assuming that because the file is in the mission editor folder that it probably exports it with the mission. The zombie mod somehow released the mk. 48 mod 0 with a red dot so there is a way to make completely custom weapons as well. I just don't know how :/

    In the EntityDatabase.xml find the M4A1S (sa23m4a1s), should be in the line 15075 neighborhood.
    Then replace...

    <ParamSet NestedAs="Scope" ID="63789196266203220">
              <Param Name="attachBone" Group="StandardScope" Type="string" Value="bone_ML2" Flags="1" Description="Bone on the weapon to attach the scope to" />

            </ParamSet>
    Enjoy you silenced night op missions now.

    Some things that i've tried that don't work as well are:
    Attaching Marksmen Scope(ACOG) to MK16 - Scope is hovering off the rail
    Attaching Grenade Launcher(M203) to MK17 - Invisible M203 that breaks the reload animation
