    Finding Each Other In-Game

I haven't been able to add anyone in the sticky thread yet. I think that maybe the person you want to add must be online at the time. Further testing needed for that one.

But within the browser, i've had some success finding like-minded people. I simply just name the session "TacticalGamer.com"

Several people have joined and asked "hey, Phobic..do you play Arma 2?" And I've had good games with them. Maybe we all should add |TG| in our server titles so we know this session would be worth our time and help us avoid the tards!

You know, this is actually a really good question. Let's use this thread to brainstorm a bit - what do you guys think is the best way to find eachother? So far, I see this:

    Steam-group chat-room
    X-fire group
    Teamspeak
    Sticky-thread in forum
    in-game-friends list

we could have an agreed-upon password published at this forum like we do for the TS in ArmA. we just use the same PW when we only want TG members.

i'm finding the in-game friend thing to be a piece of crap. you can't invite friends to your game or join their games from the friends list...so...what's the point?!

I think Teamspeak would be the best option from your list, whiskey. Its the closest thing we have to a chat room. Maybe we could use IRC or something, i dunno..
