Guys, I think I've been leaning..
Have you noticed that when you're behind like a rock wall, you face the wall and press the aim button to sort of sit up a little and aim over the wall?
Try this: hide behind the corner of a building, and press the aim button..then walk to look around the corner. It seems like there's a little auto-lean in there..
Or maybe I'm just imagining things.

I've seen games have "free floating" guns around objects so you could get an extra inch or so when next to something. Could be something similar. It's always nice when they do since you can fire over that rock that you just barely couldn't before.
The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena had this and it was massively cool as it was well animated and your gun would even be held with the muzzle up if you hugged a wall.

I do believe that when you site in with a weapon, your line of sight does rise a small amount. You could think of this as you raising your shoulders with the gun which would make you stand up more straight.
Whats the Deal with the tiny sig limit?

Re: Guys, I think I've been leaning..
I just got off a multiplayer game and saw a guy (human) I could swear was leaning around a tree trunk. I should have taken a screen. I then saw him side step and then lean again. It is probably that action of aiming that looks like a lean. I think in my case the side step before gave it away as the perception of leaning when aiming from my POV.

Re: Guys, I think I've been leaning..
I don't know. I was playing in MP co-op last night and i could swear that i saw an AI leaning. That's when i started looking at the "camera" movement more closely when aiming. You definitely do aim over certain cover objects when crouching behind them, not only the little rise from shouldering the weapon. Well..either that or they made the size of the cover objects in ratio with the shoulder rise.
I'm still trying to figure out if there is some sort of slight lean to the aiming going on. I REALLY wish we had a manual.

The manual can be found here: Here or on the steam store page on the bottom of the right column

There is no lean, you do however raise your sight line to peek over objects when you look down the sights.

The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.

Last night I saw an AI lean around a tree, it looked a bit odd though so it might 've been a bugged animation, but it sure looked like leaning.

I made a vid of this but I have not uploaded yet. There's a slight rise when sighting over objects. I definitely did it through a window anyway.

I noticed that when you're crouched behind sandbags, e.g., when you go ironsights, the guy elevates just enough to shoot over it.
nice touch.

I watched this AI bot lean around this tree, then go back and forth while he was firing down range. As you can see there is another soldier right in front of him doing the same thing.

Re: Guys, I think I've been leaning..
I uploaded my video making the situation clearer. The rise occurs when you are crouched anywhere and does not seem to be related to proximity to objects.
