Ambushed and killed... video...
I was testing this user made mission this AM... at the mission brief and start was impressive, so looking forward to this one.
First try, I loaded up in the vehicle... and followed Alpha squad, I wasn't thinking tactical at this time, just getting up towards the fight... the vehicle crosses the bridge then stops, I'm like 50 meters back, I wait, think maybe we dismount here, so I pull up and as soon as I get within 10 meters, the vehicle in front is ambushed and blown up... I react... OH POOP, back up and crash into the bridge, I bail out and try to engage the ambushers, my team is almost immediately killed...
So, take two... and now I know about the ambush, so proper formation, about 75 yards back, waiting... I stop short after the lead vehicle stops across the bridge, nothing happens till i drive within 10 meters for the trigger... BOOM, and again, this time...per proper tactics... i punch it out of the killzone, zig zagging... but no luck thier... still taken out... 5 attempts, 5 different tactics and strategies, even dismounting... but they don't spawn in, till the ambush...
Would be a great part of the mission, IF the player could react and get out or engage.

What hit you do you know? was it an RPG or could the road be mined?

no idea... because nothing is there when i stop early and go check... i think the mission maker scripts those events in.

You have to think like a soldier, what should have you done if your comrades in another jeep got blown up while u were behind them in another jeep? Get out, take cover and fire at what's shooting at you, and if they are mines, then back up and bounce!
